For Singer songwriters, Irish, country, African, bluegrass, blues, classical composers and much more! The ability to easily play simple hooky melodies while the chord rings out behind It makes Capo Clips a essential tool for solo players or trios where you need a big guitar sound.
For Beginners: It is a known fact that practicing your hands separate makes them stronger when you
put them together, this is something piano Players Have been doing for years and now
beginning players can hear a chord crystal clear and easily play melodies with as little as one finger above and in and around the clips. to concentrate on and develop the right hand strumming. Helps tunning by ear because it is holding the chord you only have
to concentrate on Turning the tuning peg and listening to hear when all the notes resonate
in perfect intonation.
Expert players and modern guitar innovators can push the guitar to new heights using capo clips as a spring board For new compositions and innovative new sounds.
Putting on your Capo Clips.
1. This might be obvious but when first putting on your Capo Clip you need to put it on straight. If the capo clip is slightly cocked and the rubber fretter is touching the wrong string it will cause that string to sound like a thud or a click. To fix slightly depress the capo with one hand and move the capo clip so the rubber fretters are centered on the strings correctly.
2. If a note is not fretting tight to the neck and not ringing
clear you may need to move the capo slightly towards the problem string this should distribute the force in that direction and hold the string down tight so it can ring clear.
Most any spring capo should work but here are a couple we tried...
This very common Jim Dunlop capo costs about $13 and is good and inexpensive. It seems to be able to hold the capo clips in any chord we could come up with. It has allot of force and tends to pull the notes of the chord sharp so you will need to have your tuner or a good set of ears ready to fine tune the chords.
The Planet Waves NS dual action Capo about $21.95.
This is a good capo and does not pull the strings sharp as much as other spring capos so it is very quick an easy to use. If you use guage 11s or thicker or have a very high action this might not have enough force. When fretting the D A minor capo clip for the D chord. We had to clamp it from the bottom of the fingerboard facing up instead of over the top of the fingerboard. |
